Core values

As the board of Thundu, our mission is clear: we create a place for African children to come together, have fun and develop themselves while playing sports – in places where it’s most needed. To do so, we commit ourselves to our core values:

Driven

we will always strive for growth

Optimistic

we believe we can make a difference

Transparant

we will be honest and open about what we do

“We cannot make this impact alone. But with your help, we can do it step by step, field by field and one community at a time”

ANBI-status

Stichting Thundu has the ANBI-status. ANBI is a status provided and verified by the the Dutch government (de Belastingdienst) and states that the foundation has the goal to strive for a general benefit (“algemeen nut beogende instelling”). The status brings rights and obligations.

Due to our ANBI-status, you can donate with tax benefits. Check out these pages for gift tax (schenkbelasting) or inheritance tax (erfbelasting).

To live up to our core value transparency, we would like to share a bit more than is expected of us. Therefore, you can download our annual financial overview and our policy plan which is part of our ANBI status. Next to that, we would like to share our yearly meeting notes and articles of association.

  • The annual financial overview of 2025 will be published in the beginning of 2026

  • The annual meeting minutes of 2025 will be published in the beginning of 2026
